The peri peri pepper in the chili spice, is indigenous to South American countries. In the 1500’s, Vasco D’ Gamma returned to
Portugal from South American explorations, bringing these hot peppers. Thus a new item was introduced to European cuisine.
Today this pepper is known as bird’s eye chili. This is our version of hot sauce influenced by Vasco D Gamma’s discovery.
